Here’s What To Do If You Find A Tick Bite

Two local kids were sent to the ICUthis week after being diagnosed with Lyme disease.  It's a tick-borne illness that can cause all kinds of complications.  The kids were treated for inflammation of the heart muscle at Children's Hospital.  The were diagnosed with the uptick in this case which is great cause for concern.

The are doing okay and they are really concerning everyone because it's not very often we've ever had two children with cardiac involvement in the hospital at the same time.  There appears to be a rise in cases of Lyme associated cardiac involvement this year.  Health officials say they expect to see about 500  cases or more this year.

If you find a tick on yourself or on your kids, that does not automatically mean that you have Lyme disease.  In fact, there's something you can do to make sure you don't get it.  Health director Dr. Maria Simbra has other advice on this Tick problem.  A tick well attached to your skin, swollen with its meal there is something you can do to prevent Lyme disease,

If you find a tick attached to you before the disease has infected the body a single dose of the antibiotic is sufficient, to prevent the infection from taking hold.

Studies show 85% reduction in the cases of Lyme disease if you get a 200-milligram dose at the time of the tick bite.  It's not for everyone who happens to notice a tick bite.  The doctors have to be sure it was a tick carrying the bacteria which caused Lyme disease. It has to be a specific kind of tick that carries the disease. It has to be and engorged tick and you have to seek treatment within 72 hours.  If you have a bulls-eye rash it's a signal to get a preventative treatment.

How to start teaching kids English - #1

Hi guys! My identify is Suzi and I'm a South African living in Poland! And I've been Teaching English as a Second Expression for the past eight years. And I've had a few people come up to me and ask me, uh, like how do you teach? Or would you have any tips-off for other people who are interested in learning infants English. For precedent. I have this wonderful friend who speaks English perfectly, she speaks French perfectly. She's not a teacher, she studied something totally different but a few people have asked her if she would maybe like to teach their kids.

And she kind of panic-struck and called me and she requested, "What am I supposed to do? " "I've never learnt teenagers, I don't hang around with kids." How do you teach someone who's not your age, who you think of as some small-minded little foreigner? So I'm gonna give you three tips-off that could help you feel a little bit more confident on your first session or sson with a small human being who are willing to to hear English, or who's mothers would like this human being to learn English. So my first step is tada! to sit on the flooring So meeting an adult, just imagine, you're session such person or persons who's like, so much better taller than you and if you look at them and you have to various kinds of be in this position in order to see their face thats kind of um, various kinds of spooky and intimidating and on top of this, this person is speaking to you, using these statements that you have no opinion what they mean.

But when you sit on the flooring you kind of acquire yourself a little bit more vulnerable, but you're also on the level of such children, which establishes them seem a little more comfortable and it establishes you more approachable. Next tip-off: Be interested! Being interested means reacting to what they're saying or to things that they're doing with interest so for example, asking about a teddley and asking if it's theirs and showing interest in their Teddy. Showing interest in um, them stirring handstands and praising them on that showing interest in, for example paintings on their wall and asking, you know "Did you reap this? Is this yours? Wow this is really good! " So only being interested in them and their medium and showing that you want to be there, with this boy, already kind of opens the way to this wave of relationships. Third occasion is ... "You know English! " Which I think is pretty important as a confidence builder. Because reading different languages isn't actually that difficult. I feel a lot of people obstructing themselves and they think that no this is impossible I can't do it, I don't know, I don't understand what you're answering so I'm gonna listen to you and I think it's important to find certain things that the child understands and knows and praising them on it.

Or I do this thing where I kind ofrick them into knowing its own language. I start with a attract. Drawing in itself is a very very cool direction to interact with the "childrens and" teach English at the same duration. So for example, I would say, OK so. "I am reaping a foreman And now I'm reaping two eyes, a nose and a mouth." "Where are his eyes? Where are you able read his eyes? "* Blink Blink* And the child generally degrees and I'm like "Well done! Yes! That's his eyes! " And then, kinda like, you know "You read? You know English! " So yeah, this organization is three of the tips-off that I feel could be important as a start.

If you have any tips-off on what stimulated your first exercises labour or what help me out here when you started teaching teenagers, let me know or if there's some other tips-off that you would like, you're welcome to let me know too! and maybe I can help out. Hey guys. So that was my first ever YouTube video and I just wanted tto say thanks for watching! And I wish you an amazing 2017! Bye !.

Raising Grateful Kids in an Entitled World

Did you know that gratitude is a powerful lane to turn around your thinking? On the one hand the cup is also possible half empty, on the other hand it is feasible to half full. It all depends on your perspective. So, how is impossible to teach our children from early on the influence of gratitude in their own lives especially when they're grown up in an age of instant gratification in a culture that has a hard time announcing "no".

Well here to show us how parents get the gratitude discussion started at home is family healer Doctor Jessica Leon. Good morning! How are you? Good morning! I'm so glad you're back! Thank you so much better! This is really important. Teaching "their childrens" gratitude. Important why? I feel the most important thing firstly we have to get to is the empathy and the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes.

When you can do that it's that center constructing cube to other caring excitements like empathy and gratitude and so when we are grateful we are placing ourselves in the present to appreciate what people are doing on a small tier and a bit of a larger tier. And that gratitude genuinely leads to healthier lifestyle, less stress. Positive energy. Absolutely! Positive appreciation of self worth even. So does the apple autumn from the tree when "theyre saying" gratitude, positive reasoning? Yes! Everything you role model and you demonstrate to your children and everything you don't roller model and demonstrate to your children is assimilated and used a steer for the lane that "their childrens" answer. So if you conduct a compassionate lifestyle and you're kind the other people than young children will see that and they're little seeds that get planted. So than they will pick up on that. So you have some great tips-off and I want to go through them. Number one, attain gratitude a daily rite. Absolutely, we cannot use the apologize that we don't have occasion. We have to set occasion and prioritize that whether it's in the car or on the way to academy. Whether it's during meal occasion, whether it's before couch, there needs to be a discussion that happens about what they were thankful for on that day and as much as they can share around with their own families what it is that they acknowledge from each person would be a phenomenal opportunity.

Next one is created time to talk to young children about justices and unfairness. We often hear how many things go wrong in countries around the world and at the academy and what a great opportunity to hear their perception and then be able to give genuinely solid tone advice in a kind and compassionate lane so you are the steer in listening to the lane that they hear justices and unfairness. Ok, next one is expanding your child's circle of regard. That's interesting? So there are a little bit more natural to have an interest and care for the person or persons that "they il be" surrounded by, their immediate family and their friends, but we want to expand that a little bit more to outside of that.

For instance, if at the academy the janitors to go ahead and greet them and be kind and compassionate, the lunch ladies. To say thank you when they get their meals. Those tiny little parts make all the difference because it's important to teach them what it does for somebody else when you are showing gratitude. And I do have lunch with my daughters a lot, and I ever hear from the co-workers there at the academy that my children ever reply "gracias" because they know they better!( chuckling ). Moving on. Expect, I like this one, expect our kids to aid around the house, help with siblings, help with mom and in the community.

Huge! It is, and a lot of hours, you are familiar with, we gaze at that as if we're asking them to do a favor. No! No. This is something that is expected, and that's been a little bit lost in the wayside now with the lane that countries around the world have evolved. I'm old school. And it must be something that is done without any kind of reward. No money compensation, no kind of rates, but something that they can intrinsically feel right about when they are helpful in their family or in their home communities. And I think it's important to note, although there are I know we have to go, it's never too late to teach them gratitude. Absolutely not. You can start now. A leopard can change it's spots.

Well, it depends on one tranquilize! If be tranquilized, and you are familiar with extremely tranquil I'll be like no I'll ever be hyper. Nonetheless, you can teach children ever for the rest of occasion. Yes, you can. Thank you so much! For our viewers out there who would like more informed on your tips-off and everything else you have to offer. Yes, it's at therapisttogo.net. Thank you, come back again! Absolutely. All privilege, and you know what when you dedicate in life, life give you so much more. Absolutely.

Teaching Children Piano : Teaching Piano to Children Using Do-Re-Mi

Your children, the Do-Re-Mi song from the Sound of Music, your kids will know Do-Re-Mi, because it's in that song. They will have no reference for them like that is actually entails something, but they'll be like "oh yeah I've heard of Do-Re-Mi." "Do, a deer, a female deer, Re..." and this will bring on some sort of Julie Andrews sing-a-long. Which makes all people involved happy, but it's a fantastic course. Thank heavens for that movie because it's the first introduction to these terms; these crazy like syllable words that really have no meaning if you have no reference for them. So, we were talking about something before, and we talked about doing Do and Re, add Mi, Do-Re-Mi, in all sorts of places. I would avoid the black keys at this phase, be seen to what extent much you can get done without the black keys. But it's o.k. to put that in too; although there are it may cause difficulties sort of intuitively for them, they are likely won't comment on that trouble. They'll probably just accepted it as truth. The next place to move is to sing Do and Re and Mi on the staff.

So again you're teaching relationships; just like everything, it's about how things are connected. So, you're teaching that if this is Do, this is Re. We've already taught that on here, that's to attain sense to them. Now here's the visual representation of that, if this is Do, this is Re. Same thing on here, although I didn't depict the notes we were working with earlier. If the G is Do; and the G is on the G line because the G clef desires G and makes a hug around G, line two. Recollect all of that? It's o.k. to articulate it again, it's o.k. to say it a gazillion time, it's o.k.

To use the same wording for it. Because that's what's re-enforcing it into their brain, that's what's putting it in there locked solid. It's never going to leave if you use the same terms every time you discuss it that they are able to click. That if this is G, if this G is Do, then the A is Re, start with Mi then. If this is Do, the A is Re, this is Mi. It should make sense here, and it is appropriate to make sense here. Then you can use your materials; whatever you have, to do simple, straightforward tunes with merely Do, Re and Mi on here and see if they can follow playing it. This goes back to singing it, you can sing Do-Re-Mi-Re-Do. Can they play it? You're going to imagine, no, but they are likely can, your children are a lot smarter than you think they are.

Writing & Study Skills : How to Help Your Child Learn Study Skills

I'd like to talk about how to help your progeny read survey abilities. One of its most important things that I would like to encourage parents to do is to not making this a big distinction between peace and merriment. If you enjoy gardening really let your child see that you take the hour and put work into something that you really enjoy. You roll up your sleeves, and you get out there and do it, and you enjoy it. Another thing that is critical is how "were talking about" piece and considering. Using a phrase like tells get your work out of the direction so we can have fun really specifies it up as the piece being very negative and something merely dangerous. In some suits, it might be, but it's better if you can help your child to not have this strong relationship between things that they don't want to do and studying.

Another more practical and sides of a direction to help you child improve research studies abilities is applying tools to gather information while reading. A couple approaches you can use to help your child while survey reading and one of them is mapping. So when your child is writing to learn, they can create a map of information that's almost like a network. The first reality is connected to another reality. By employing this trace and writing technique, they can gather other knowledge while seeing. Moving it much more hands on than merely reading through a text. A third method that I envisage is critical documents taking. Taking good notes is a crucial skill that will serve your child though out "people's lives." Inspire your child to rephrase what they've learned and written in their notes. Drafting the following statement or theme about what their take notes about in a way that helps them to involve their brain.

Actually thinking about what they discover rather than merely emulating down knowledge on the board. They can also write a question, thought that comes to them. Maybe an issue that comes to them that they want to ask subsequently about this topic in their notes. So those are three techniques that you can use to help your child improve survey abilities.

How to Learn & Teach a Foreign Language : Teaching Kids a Foreign Language

I am here on behalf of Expert Village to do a how to video on schooling a different speech. Now we are in the segment were it comes to teaching girls. Teaching progenies got to desire the girls. Children are set to learn very fast. They say that their psyches are like sponges they absorb anything it is like an empty computer. If you have a new computer, you have a whole bunch of gigabytes you exactly replenish it up as much as you crave. Regrettably, the hardest be coming back getting them to pay attention. Yes. Getting progenies to pay attention is something that requires a lot of cleverness and a lot of patience. The example you may have a child who hears extremely very well he is very smart and his, class was necessary to disturb him. The minute his classmate was a need to agitate him the wise the quick reading all of that is out the window, and it is able to take Ann exceptionally very long time. Often you need to repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat.

Music often facilitates. Sometimes if you impede happenings in musical. I would give you an example in Arabic you are an able to school a child.............................you be seen to what extent I'm going in a lift. That generally retains small children notice. Another thing is to keep their class only and likewise sorting out certain differences skill level. You may have one group of children who are experts they can do it. They are excellent at it. Then you have other children that are slow learners. You have to keep those children who are slow learner you have to keep their confidence up. You can't let them know that the other girls are faster than them. You have to retained everybody cohesive and that itself is a challenge. Especially if it comes to progenies because they are so easily distracted.
